Vegetables Distribution: 2244 kg of varieties of vegetables were distributed to 408 families in Thataimanji village in Minjur Talk, Thiruvallur dt.
Food articles -- rice-757kg, sugar-1514kgs, toor dal-1514kgs, urad dal- 757kgs, roasted bengal gram dal-757kgs, moong dal-757kgs, vermicelli-757kgs, rava-757kgs, atta-757kgs, oil-757ltrs, salt-757kgs, mustard, cumin, chilli,turmeric and sambar powders-75.7kgs each and bathing soap,washing soap and toothpaste set were distributed to 757 daily-wage earning Irula tribal and SC families in 24 villages/hamlets in Tiruttani, Ponneri and Minjur taluks in Thiruvallur district.
Food articles -- rice-802kg, sugar-1604kgs, toor dal-1604kgs, urad dal- 802kgs, bengal gram dal-802kgs, moong dal-802kgs, vermicelli-1604kgs, atta-802kgs, oil-802ltrs, salt-802kgs, mustard, cumin, chilli,turmeric and sambar powders-40.2kgs each were distributed to 802 daily-wage earning Irula tribal and SC families in 18 villages/hamlets in Tiruttani, Ponneri taluks in Thiruvallur district and 1 place in Guindy Taluk in Chennai.
Ramakrishna Mission Students Home, Chennai,through member Ashramas of Tamilnadu Bhava Prachar Parishadconducted relief work in the fight against Covid-19 virus pandemic from 28th March 2020.
Based on the requests from some Ashramas of Tamilnadu Bhava Prachar Parishad for distributing food articles for affected daily wage earning families, we planned to cover at least 50 families per member Ashrama in the first phase.
In the first phase, with the financial assistance from the Headquarters and Students Home, 21 Ashramas – in Trichy, Chengam, Sivakasi, Ulundurpet, Ammapalayam-Tirupur, Konampatti, Thiruvarur, Ambattur, Kallavi, Nadupalayam, Dharmapuri, Mathigiri-Hosur, Hosur, Aranthangi, Sevalaya-Tirupur, Chitamur, Perambalur, Kadaladi, Koduvai, Pammal and Kadalmangalam Ashramas – have provided uncooked food articles to 1062 underserved daily wage earning families -- a kit worth Rs.1000 per family.
The following items were distributed to 1062 daily-wage earning families from lower strata of society: 6470 kgs rice, 556 kgs flour, 987 kgs rava(semolina), 213 kgs vermicelli, 1281 kgs sugar, 3137 kgs of various dal, 1066 litres edible oil, 1066 kgs salt, mustard 114.5 kgs, cumin 105 kgs, pepper 78.7 kgs, semiya 212.5 kgs, 240.2 kgs of assorted spices, garlic 17.5 kgs, tamarind 181 kgs, soap 412 nos, surfex 50nos, biscuits 262 pkts, tea 11.2 kgs and dettol 50 bottles to 1062 daily wager families in various districts of Tamilnadu.
Safety Kit distribution:
10000 face masks were distributed to 19 institutions (government hospitals, primary health centres and government offices) in Cuddalore, Vilupuram and Thiruvannamalai districts.

We have continued the Covid-19 Relief work (05-04-2020, sixth day) with distribution of food articles to needy families.

We have distributed uncooked food articles to 196 daily wage earning tribal and scheduled caste families and this includes 15 blind families. All of them are living around 70 kms away from Chennai in -- Keemalur(SC-35), Porur Pudhunagar(ST-44), Bommachikulam(ST-48), and Ramakrishnapuram(ST-69) -- all tribal villages in Thiruvallur district.

Around 121 daily wage earning families were given uncooked food articles. All of them are tribal and scheduled caste families living 60-70 kms away from Chennai in Thathaimanji, Sirulapanchery, Kallur and Uthandi kandigai villages in Thiruvallur district.

Safety masks 310nos., sanitizer 3ltrs. and Thermal Scanner 1 no. were given to Government Hospital, Ponneri in Thruvallur dt. based on the request from the Hospital authorities.
